Shree Aarogya is an initiative in social venture in Nepal. It is an undertaking of Intelligent Capital Management of Olympia, WA, United States and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
We seek to build private companies that further the public interest--this is our definition of social venture.
We are starting with healthcare.
Our first project is a hospital. The second project is a transitional care facility.
Both are unique projects. The hospital is an exercise in discovering the ‘right” price at which quality health service is adopted by the public at large. It also focuses on the elderly--a population group not served by any other institution in Nepal. The transitional care facility is a first in the country.
Health care service in Nepal is bifurcated between a narrow band of resource-rich private providers and a barely functioning public sector. We are building a private sector service platform that is accessible to and is sustained by the public at large.
Aarogya Aspataal has the vision, medical services talent, business management skill, and basic infrastructure. But even as we proceed to our goal of creating and perfecting a health service platform that is sustained by the community-at-large, we could use advice that supplements and financial and material assistance that complements our effort.
